Indian Impala Black granite is a dark gray to black, coarse-grained igneous rock quarried in India, characterized by a fine-grained texture with small speckled patterns and silver mineral highlights. It is a durable and versatile stone suitable for both interior and exterior projects like countertops, flooring, stairs, and monuments, available in various finishes including polished, honed, and flamed. 

Description and characteristics

  • Color and appearance: A dark gray to black stone with a fine-grained texture that can have a uniform or speckled appearance. It may feature subtle silver or white mineral flecks.

  • Composition: While sometimes nominated as granite, it is technically a dark gray to black Gabbro from the Precambrian period.

  • Strength and durability: It is a strong, dense, and weather-resistant natural stone with high compressive and flexural strength, making it ideal for high-traffic areas.

  • Finishes: Available in a wide range of finishes, including polished, honed, leather/satin, thermal/flamed, brushed, sandblasted, and more.
